Make A Booking

We aim to make booking "The Watch House" as simple as possible and to keep all parts of the process transparent and secure. To do this we use a rental company, Discovery Holiday Homes who have well established and have the resources to help us book our home. They use PCI compliant, secure payment systems and provide us with the technology to let our family home.

Availability: We endeavor to keep our calendar and availability up to date at all times. There are often time differences, last minute bookings and cancellations, plus technology issues that can affect this. We do our very best to keep this as accurate as possible though.

Payment Terms: These are generally fixed and require a deposit of 30% at time of booking and the balance 6 weeks before arrival. The Terms & Conditions link on this site will give exact details of the terms.

Payments: We accept all major credit and debit cards and if required PayPal, although only on request. We accept wire transfers and bank details are supplied upon request. Cheques may be posted, but a booking is not confirmed until a payment is credited to our account. We recommend paying by credit card to provide extra security and ease of transaction. We also recommend any guests take out holiday cancellation insurance as we cannot refund deposits and for a small fee this reassurance that you will not lose your holiday is invaluable.

Correspondence: We like guests to talk or correspond with us. We send out booking forms, card payment slips, arrival instructions and more by email, generally in .pdf format. Please check your SPAM folders as these sometimes find their way into the wrong mailbox folder. We also send out a review email after you have left and really appreciate feedback, good or bad (we hope not!).

Other Booking Notes
Cleaning, linen & towels
All bed linen is included in the tariff, but house towels are available for additional hire - please ask for details. Bed linen is only changed weekly and the house is only cleaned after departure.
Infants
We can arrange the hire of cots or high chairs - please give at least one weeks' notice if you wish us to arrange this for you. We ask that you supply all the baby bedding yourselves.
Pet Friendly
1 or 2 well-behaved dogs are welcome to stay for an additional cost of £25 per dog, but must please stay downstairs.
